Professor Guobin Yang, Associate Professor of Sociology, University of Pennsylvania will give the keynote lecture as part of the Everyday Politics of Digital Life in China 2-day workshop. His lecture will argue that the everyday politics of technological life has a dialectics of its own. It aspires to the sublime but often falls back to the banal, swinging back and forth between moments of enchantment and disenchantment.
