Nate Mason was the Commercial Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli from December 2011 to March 2013. He served as a U.S. government advisor embedded with the Liberian Ministry of Commerce & Industry proper to that. From 2001-2010, he covered Libya as the North Africa Desk Officer at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He is not an independent consultant focusing on the Middle East & North Africa.
