Come learn from someone who has worked in Pakistan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and the District of Colombia, with experience in the Office of Food for Peace (FFP), the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), and the Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI). Come learn from someone who oversees annual budgets in excess of $4.5 billion and a staff of over 700 people. Come learn about major changes in humanitarian aid over the past 35 years.
Gregory Gottlieb is the Acting Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (USAID/DCHA). In several senior deputy assistant administrator and mission director roles, he has focused on improving disaster assistance and transition programs promoting economic recovery. He has taught at the National War College. He was a legal protection officer for UNHCR and a chief of party for the USAID-funded Famine Early Warning Systems Network. Mr. Gottlieb earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Humboldt State University in California, a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and a Master’s Degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
