The Education, Research and Training (ERT) Section of ACR advances K-12 conflict resolution education. On Friday, October 5, 2018 ERT will sponsor an event designed to raise awareness with high school youth about ways of resolving conflict. Peace Circles Training is conducted by the Center for Community Dialogue based in Tucson, AZ. The training is designed for high-school age youth interested in learning how to resolve differences. Students will leave the training knowing how to facilitate a circle process.
The ERT Section is now looking for teachers and schools willing to commit to bringing their students to the program. ACR can cover transportation costs and will provide lunch. Because of space limitations, this program will be limited to about 40 students from Pittsburgh area schools.
