The Center for Latin American Studies invites you to a conversation with Dr. Joanne Rappaport, Professor in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese and in the Department of Anthropology at Georgetown University, and President elect of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA).

Dr. Rappaport's presentation will examine various attempts at collaborative research in Latin America and the United States, with a focus on research projects that involve academic scholars and grassroots communities.

Refreshments will be provided.

Join us for a historical simulation that explores both the science behind acid rain and the international negotiations to try and stem it. During this simulation, you'll conduct experiments and recreate one of the first international negotiations on climate change in Europe.
