The Indian Nationality Room Committee celebrates the 74th anniversary of Indian independence with a Virtual India Day presentation. Along with messages from various dignitaries, the video includes a collection of Indian classical dances, folk dances and music performances by Indian dance and music schools in the Pittsburgh area.

The Asian Studies Center and the Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh invite you to join us on Saturday, August 21st at 8 pm (film begins at 8:45 pm) for a screening of Yellow Rose. The film tells the story of a Filipino teen from a small Texas town who fights to pursue her dreams as a country music performer while having to decide between staying with her family or leaving the only home she has known. The event is free and open to the public thanks to generous support of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. The screening will be held outdoors at the Pittsburgh Philippine Center at 220 Church Street in West Mifflin, PA 16122. Bring a comfy chair! Snacks will be available for purchase.
