The Global Studies Center is proud to partner with globally-oriented organizations in Pittsburgh to offer our community innovative, interdisciplinary programs.

Some of our current partners include:

City of Asylum 

In Fall 20l7, Global Issues Through Literature participants enjoyed exclusive discussions with authors at City of Asylum in Pittsburgh

Carnegie Museums

The GSC regularly offers educator workshops and student programs around museum exhibitions

Global Minds Initiative  

Global Studies students have an opportunity to work alongside the creators and curriculum designers of this after-school program, and help introduce the program to additional area schools.

Fox Chapel School District

GSC collaborates with Fox Chapel on the annual world language connection day conference.

Pittsburgh Public Schools

Undergraduate foreign language students have a chance to intern with experience teachers at PPS. Interested students and teachers should contact Lisa Bromberg for more information about applying or signing up to host an intern (at no cost).

Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures

The GSC is excited to work with Pittsburgh Arts and Lectures to offer innovative enrichment experiences for ticketholders, students, teachers, and community members this spring--see the Events page for more information on joining us on March 22nd to discuss author Mohsin Hamid and on April 5 to discuss author Viet Thanh Nguyen.
