Global Across the Curriculum

Global Across the Curriculum

The seminar, first introduced in fall 2017, is being held again in fall 2018 with the participation of eight newly chosen faculty members from Pitt’s main campus.

Each participant will work with Global Studies core faculty members, instructional design specialists, and fellow members of the seminar to design a new course with a global orientation or to bring a global dimension to an existing course.  Courses developed in the seminar are meant to be broadly consistent with the Center’s emphasis on promoting critical thinking and practical engagement with the world through the interdisciplinary study of transnational processes and the connections, divisions, disruptions, inequalities, and productive possibilities these processes engender.

The Center hopes to offer the seminar again in 2019-20 to interested full-time faculty from Pitt’s main campus, the regional campuses, and nearby community colleges.
