Learning for the Empowerment and Advancement of Palestinians (LEAP) is an educational enrichment program dedicated to nurturing the intellectual growth and creative curiosity of Palestinian refugee-youth in Lebanon so they may become agents of change.
A well-established non-profit, LEAP (Learning for the Empowerment and Advancement of Palestinians) runs a 5-week summer program for children born and raised in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. Even those without teaching experience can volunteer to teach English or Music in a camp. You pay your airfare and some money for maintenance, but you get to make a difference and make some weekend field trips in Lebanon. Volunteers arrive on June 29, have orientation June 30-July 5, and teach from July 6-August 8.
