Global Justice?

In August 2014, Pitt’s Global Studies Center, in collaboration with the international research network Cities for the Cultures of Peace and the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (Paris) launched its inaugural study-abroad summer seminar Global Justice?  Held at the research center Maison Suger in Paris’s Latin Quarter, the two-week seminar drew Pitt undergraduates in Political Science, Economics, Sociology and German from its main and regional campuses.  Studying with faculty in three departments from the Universities of Pittsburgh and Ottowa, the students engaged in intensive debate and discussion, augmented by trips to UNESCO site and historical sites.  Global Studies plans to continue this two-week summer seminar in August 2015 in partnership with the Study Abroad Office.  Interested students are welcome to inquire at the Global Studies Center.
