SCREENSHOT: Asia is a project created to bring Asian and Asian American arts to Pittsburgh and engage students in practical, professional arts programming experience. By screening films from across Asia, we hope to create a dialog based on shared cinematic experiences, letting our audiences learn about and embrace different cultures, peoples, and ways of being in the world.

The Asian Studies Center, National Consortium for Teaching About Asia, and the World History Center will co-sponsor this two-part workshop for educators, in which they will learn about the World Historical Gazetteer's Place Collections feature and develop lesson plans related to East Asia using the Place Collections.
Join us for this FREE online K-12 educator workshop that will examine the history, current status, and future of Africa and China's relationship through a global lens and offer strategies and resources for classroom use. We will explore not only Chinese investments in infrastructure in Africa, but provide examples from other regions such as Europe, as well. This workshop will offer teaching strategies and resources for K-12 classroom use, and Act 48 hours and FREE classroom materials will be provided for all participants.
