High School Euro Challenge Competition

The Euro Challenge is a competition for high school students on European economic and monetary policy. It gives participants the opportunity to learn about the Euro, the single market, and other important concepts central to the European Union and macro/microeconomics.

The PA regional competition is hosted by the University of Pittsburgh, with generous support from Northgate High School who provided space for the event.

World Culture Day at Avella Sr/Jr High School took place on Wednesday, May 21, with a focus on celebrating cultural diversity and global awareness. Five Outreach Engagement Coordinators from the University of Pittsburgh participated in the event, which featured various activities designed to showcase different cultures from around the world. The coordinators engaged approximately 200-250 students through interactive games, performances, presentations, and other cultural activities.
