Jozef Ristvej, Ph.D., received his Ph.D. in Crisis Management from the University of Zilina, Slovakia-E.U. in 2007. Since that time, he serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Crisis Managment, University of Zilina. In 2007, Dr. Ristvej participated in the ISCRAM Crisis Managment Summer School for Ph.D. students. In 2010, Dr. Ristvej received the Ruth Crawford Mitchell grant to support a Visiting Scholars appointment at the Center for Disaster Management, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh. A rare opportunity to hear music by Sergei Taneyev, Anton Arensky, and Paul Pabst-towering figures in Tchaikovsky's Russia. Edisher Savitski and Vakhtang Kodanashvili, the unforgettable two-piano team from PSO's 2009 Rediscovering Rachmaninoff Festival, perform two-piano showcases by Arensky and Panst. George Vatchnadze joins succulent Piano Trio. Also: rare 1890s recordings of this music, by the composers themselves, will be auditioned and discussed.
