The Center for African Studies invites you to our yearly Spring Conference! This year's theme is "Africa in the Classroom: Pedagogy, Community, Decolonization."

Through experiential learning, high school students engage directly with global issues by assuming the role of world leaders and negotiating responses to timely topics.

CAS will have a booth at the World Fair hosted by the Oakland Catholic High School. Our table will have African games (Malmberg Fellow Nete is bringing games from Lesotho) and there will also be presentations given by FLTA Bancy and visiting Amharic professor Meshesha on language/culture in Kenya and Ethiopia, respectively.
