A Pitt Senior was Named to the German Academic Exchange Service

Sydney Wilhelmy, a European Studies Center certificate student and senior in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and the David C. Frederick Honors College, was named to the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), translated in English as the German Academic Exchange Service.

Wilhelmy additionally has been a recipient of the inaugural Obama-Chesky Scholarship for Public Service, or Voyager Scholarship, and is currently a semifinalist for a Fulbright to Germany. The senior is finishing up his major in political science and minors in economics, Arabic language, and linguistics, European studies and Mediterranean studies.
