Since the 2018 debut of the Global Competence Certificate Program (a series of the Faculty & Staff Development Program at Pitt), two cohorts of faculty/staff participants have earned this distinction. This event will celebrate and recognize their achievements and provide an interactive overview for those interested in developing their global mindset by participating in upcoming sessions. An informal Pitt Global networking event for faculty and staff will follow.
Interested in learning more about Plus3 but don’t know where to start? This panel will informally discuss the academic, professional, cultural, and personal benefits of the program. We’ll also explore the challenges involved with traveling internationally as a large group and answer your questions about Plus3! Panel members will consist of former faculty, program assistants, and program managers for Plus3, and all first-year Business, Engineering, and Nursing students (along with anyone else interested in the program) should attend.
This special event will be an opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pitt’s Plus3 study abroad program and connect with past Plus3 participants, faculty, and in-country partners. We’ll meet as a larger group and then move to breakout sessions to share stories (and photos!), network, and celebrate this influential program.
All past Plus3 participants are encouraged to register and attend!
Join the Study Abroad Office and the Career Center for a Global Company Tour. You will have the opportunity to meet with four recruiters from companies and organizations that have an international presence. There will be four 45-minute information sessions with a Q&A at the end of each.
