Miriam, a biracial teen in the Dominican Republic, prepares anxiously for a double quinceañera with her best friend, Jennifer. She has started talking to a new boy online, Jean-Louis, and while they've never met before, she plans to invite him to her quince. But Miriam panics when she discovers her new boyfriend is black. The film explores identity, racism, whitewashing, and teenage friendship and affection.

The Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh has celebrated Latin American and Caribbean cultures with a full-day festival on our Oakland campus since 1979. The Festival will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 7:00-10:00 P.M. in the William Pitt Union at the University of Pittsburgh.
The event features performances, food, arts, crafts, and information tables from Latin America and the Caribbean. Admission is free!
Please join us in the World History Center for an informal information session on the Digital Atlas Design Internship. This event is part of International Week sponsored by the University Center for International Studies.
This internship program began 2 years ago with three objectives in mind:
- Populating a gallery of atlases
- Supporting student research and expanding student skills
- Expanding a data network
Students of all levels of German and Spanish will co-mingle and teach each other the basics of each language in a social setting. Students can network with each other and learn about their experiences with Pitt's language programs.
