A family friendly festival featuring all things Europe in the ‘Burgh. Local artisans and vendors will create a dynamic marketplace and performances of song and dance will be presented on the main stage. Food booths featuring various European cuisines will be participating and artistic demonstrations and children’s activities will take place throughout the day.

Pitt's Chinese American Students Association and Vietnamese Student Association invite you to join us at our 2017 Lunar New Year Celebration!

Lunar New Year is a traditional holiday celebrated in many parts of East Asia, including China and Vietnam. Also known as Chinese New Year and Tết, it is the longest and one of the most extravagant holidays celebrated in East Asia. Come out to learn more about and celebrate the Year of the Rooster with diverse performances, FREE food, and cultural games/activities!

Join Global Ties at the Global Education Expo (formally, the Cultural Carnival) for a night of celebrations. Meet a variety of academic departments and organizations that focus on language, culture, and internationalization. At the same time, listen to performances while taking a chance with our raffle games! We will have many exciting prizes! Interested in hosting a table or performing (bands/singers only)? The Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs will host its annual Holiday Open House, continuing the tradition of a multi-cultural holiday celebration. The 30 Nationality Rooms will be open to the public. Each Nationality Room will feature a Quo Vadis Student Tour Guide in a traditional outfit to share knowledge about the holiday traditions of each respective culture. Dance and music performances will be performed in the center of the Commons Room. Vendors will offer food, clothing and crafts from around the world.

The Polish Nationality Room will host PolishFest, now in its 31st year. The celebration of Polish culture and heritage will include music, dance performances, food vendors, arts & crafts and organization tables. Additional details forthcoming.

The Indian Nationality Room Committee will once again celebrate Indian culture, heritage and independence with the annual India Day festival. This year's theme is "Unity in Diversity."

Celebrate Japanese culture and the U.S. – Japan friendship with the Japanese community in Pittsburgh on September 10. Summer is a time of matsuri festivals in Japan, and we plan to celebrate with a festive picnic. Participants can experience Japanese cultural activities, learn more about Japan-related organizations in Pittsburgh, and try bon dancing and taiko drumming.
