On Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM, the Slovak Studies Program, with the help of our generous sponsors, will host the 34th Annual Slovak Heritage Festival in the Commons Room of the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh campus, Oakland (4200 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15213). We are excited to be back again for a joyous day of Slovak culture, music, history, food and education!

Admission is free for all! Street parking is free on Sundays. Masks are optional / not required.

This beloved event has been bringing together our diverse communities since 1979, and this year promises to be as unforgettable as ever.

It’s the largest celebration of Latin American and Latinx culture in Western Pennsylvania, drawing around 3,000 students, community members, and local businesses every year.

International Night

The International Night at Lincoln School was a lively gathering, with around 200-250 people attending, including 81 students who signed up via Google form. People from various countries, like Mexico, Japan, and Italy, brought delicious food to share. The event showed how diverse the community is. Also, we learned that 20.3% of Lincoln students qualify for free/reduced lunch, the highest in the district.
