Garrett Margliotti
Garrett Margliotti serves as the inaugural Director of Global Partnerships and Partner Engagement at the University of Pittsburgh’s University Center for International Studies. In this pioneering role, Margliotti collaborates closely with Vice Chancellor for Global Affairs Ariel C. Armony and Jeff Whitehead, Executive Director of Global Engagement, to establish and execute a strategic vision for the University’s transformative partnerships worldwide.
Margliotti plays a vital role in fostering thought leadership by assessing existing relationships, cultivating new partnerships, and managing the entire lifecycle of international agreements, from requests to approvals and assessments. Additionally, he spearheads the development of an International Partnerships Incubator, contributing to the University’s global engagement initiatives.
Bringing a wealth of experience, Margliotti joined Pitt after serving as the Senior Associate Director of Advising and Programming at Northeastern University’s Global Experience Office. Prior to that, he directed Carlow University’s Center of Global Learning. Margliotti holds an MEd in Higher Education Administration and a BA in French and History, both from Pitt.
