Pitt's Team Behind Team USA

With the 2024 Summer Olympics about to begin in Paris, the schools of the health sciences are proud to have multiple connections supporting Team USA.

Rory Cooper, Distinguished Professor of Rehabilitation Science and Technology in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, has been named to the United States Olympians and Paralympians Association’s (USOPA) Executive Committee, a group of Games alumni who aim to inspire all communities and help foster volunteer work.

Cooper won a bronze medal in the 4x400 meter wheelchair relay at the 1988 Paralympic Games in Seoul, South Korea.
