Zita Tóth-Shawgo serves as the Engagement Coordinator for the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies and UCIS. She holds an M.A. in English Language and Literature, an M.A. in Italian Language and Literature, as well as a postgraduate degree in Translation Studies from the University of Pécs (Hungary). Ms. Tóth-Shawgo is an experienced language educator and has taught from pre-K to post-secondary levels in both the U.S. and Hungarian school systems. As a Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program Scholar, she taught English as a Second Language at Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh. Her experience in language education also includes curriculum development, writing and publishing language course books, as well as building and managing student-centered programs from the ground up. Most recently, she has taught an intensive Hungarian course at Pitt's Summer Language Institute.
