Olympiada of Spoken Russian - 2023

This annual national competition provides US high school, middle school, and college students the opportunity to demonstrate their Russian language knowledge while meeting with other students of Russian and conversing with native Russian speakers. Students will receive recognition for their demonstrated language proficiency, improve their chances of getting international and study abroad scholarships, and enhance their professional resume.

Join us to celebrate the East European region through culture, cuisine, and live performances here at Pitt. We will be hosting numerous food vendors, local acts, student/academic organizations, and local diaspora organizations. Take part in the region's traditions! Experience the festive music, delicious cuisines, and traditional dances of Eastern Europe and its surrounding regions.This event is co-hosted by the Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs and the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies! Come and learn about amazing traditions!

Bake Sale to Support Ukraine

Nalistniki Fundraising Event to Support Ukraine

Stop by the Global Hub on March 4 from 1:30-2:30 for a bake sale of Ukrainian nalistniki (pancakes), learning Ukrainian songs, and more! Donations will be used to support the Ukrainian people.

This event is organized and sponsored by the Slavic Department, the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, and the Russian Club.
