Fulbright Visiting Professorship

Hungarian Fulbright Visiting Professorship
Fulbright Hungary calls for applications for a Fulbright Visiting Fellowship in Hungarian Studies at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) for Spring 2021 (4 months).

Eligibility requirements: 

  • Faculty whose teaching explores Hungarian history, culture, politics and society from a comparative Central European or global perspective are encouraged to apply.
     
  • Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree and demonstrate previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
     
  • Advanced English-language skills are required.

The award is covered jointly by the University of Pittsburgh’s University Center for International Studies, the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, the European Studies Center and the Honors College, in partnership with Fulbright Hungary. Fellows will be required to teach an interdisciplinary undergraduate seminar in Hungarian Studies, will be expected to conduct research in their field of expertise, and will be encouraged to develop strong relationships with students and faculty across a range of Pitt centers, departments, and programs, as appropriate for Fellow’s field of expertise.
