There are two certificates for graduate students. Click below to learn more about enrolling in and completing each one:
- The African Studies Certificate (including the Advanced Certificate in African Studies) is designed for students who wish to intensify their study of African generally and any specific African countries of their interest. Students from any professional schools or departments have the opportunity to participate in the program through courses, internships, workshops and study abroad in Africa.
- The Certificate in Mediterranean Studies (including the Certificate in Advanced Mediterranean Studies) offers students the opportunity to study the region defined by its connection to the Mediterranean Sea. Students complete a set of relevant area studies coursework and achievement of a certain level of proficiency in a world language relevant to that region.
