Study Abroad

Study abroad programs in Africa are offered through the Pitt Global Experiences Office. Although not a requirement for the certificate in African Studies, we encourage students to take advantage of the opportunities to study in an African country to augment their learning through both the formal and informal experiential setting in another cultural context. Studying abroad gives students an opportunity to experience language, history, art, culture, fashion, food and the arts in real time. It offers a powerful personal and intellectual experience to advance academics of all disciplines! Students may also choose from more than 150 Pitt-recognized programs in 50 countries.
