Adeyemi Saheed Badewa is an interdisciplinary researcher in international affairs, history, development, and African American studies. He specializes in security-development, peace and conflicts, transnational migration, and transformative justice. He Adeyemi earned a PhD in International Development Studies at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa. He also obtained a Master of Public and International Affairs (International Political Economy) from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), University of Pittsburgh. He is currently a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Africana Studies, University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of editorial in Irinkerindo: A Journal of African Migration (IJAM), and Humanities and Social Sciences Communications. He will continue to assist the center as a graduate associate.
