Jensine Benoit is a first generation Haitian-American who grew up in Asbury Park, NJ. She is currently an undergraduate majoring in Africana and International Studies with a certificate in African Studies. She is serving her second consecutive year as the President of the Ya’baso Dance Team. Her initial experience with the Center of African Studies was the networking trip to Washington, D.C for Human Rights and National Security. Jensine is currently the Communications Assistant and Researcher for the Center of African Studies.
