Luis G. Van Fossen Bravo

Native of Brazil, Luis has been the Assistant Director for Academic Affairs at the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh since February 2017. Luis is completing 20 years at the Center on August 1st, 2020. He works with undergraduate and graduate students and is responsible for all academic aspects of the Center. In the summer of 2016, Luis also began pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Management at the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. He is researching the adaptability of international students at U.S. institutions of higher education. He also holds a Master’s in Public Policy Management (MPPM) from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) at the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
