CLAS Community Internships

Mission:

The Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), University Center for International Studies at the University of Pittsburgh offers a 3-credit, undergraduate internship for sophomore, juniors and seniors in good academic standing (minimum GPA 3.00). The potential intern must be available for the entirety of the internship during the Fall, Spring, or Summer term. The aim of the internship is to involve CLAS certificate student(s) in organizations that work in and with the Latinx community in Southwestern Pennsylvania and leverage the skills and language acquired during their course of studies at the University of Pittsburgh.

Please note: Applications for credit internships must be submitted by the week before add/drop period at the latest. Non-credit internships will be accepted on a rolling basis.

For organizations that are interested in setting up a program with CLAS:

Please send a request for internship to Luz Amanda HankAssistant Director for Partnerships and Programming. CLAS will set up a meeting with your organization to discuss what the needs of your organization are.
