CLAS Community Internships
Mission:
The Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), University Center for International Studies at the University of Pittsburgh offers a 3-credit, undergraduate internship for sophomore, juniors and seniors in good academic standing (minimum GPA 3.00). The potential intern must be available for the entirety of the internship during the Fall, Spring, or Summer term. The aim of the internship is to involve CLAS certificate student(s) in organizations that work in and with the Latinx community in Southwestern Pennsylvania and leverage the skills and language acquired during their course of studies at the University of Pittsburgh.

- Business Analyst Internship with Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation
- Community Engagement Internship with Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation
- Program Associate Internship with Operation Walk Pittsburgh
- School Visit Program with the Center for Latin American Studies in partnership with local K-12 schools
Please note: Applications for credit internships must be submitted by the week before add/drop period at the latest. Non-credit internships will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Please send a request for internship to Luz Amanda Hank, Assistant Director for Partnerships and Programming. CLAS will set up a meeting with your organization to discuss what the needs of your organization are.
