The Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh has celebrated Latin American and Caribbean cultures with a full-day festival on our Oakland campus since 1979. On Saturday, September 23, 2023, we will celebrate the 41st Annual Latin American & Caribbean Festival!

The event features well-known Latin American musicians, authentic artists and craft makers, delicious Latin American and Caribbean cuisine, traditional dance performances, and activities for children. Admission is free! The festival is the largest gathering of the Latin American and Latinx communities in Western Pennsylvania, attracting more than 3,000 students, community members, and local businesses.

We would love to have your organization or business serve as one of our sponsors! Being the 41st edition of the festival, we are expecting more participants than ever! Suggested levels of event sponsorship are as follows:

  • $800 Pitt Royal sponsorship (company name and logo included in our program and a complimentary table at the event)
  • $1,500 Pitt Gold sponsorship (company name, logo, and sponsorship level included in all of our event promotional materials and programming, and a complimentary table at the event)
  • $3,000+ Pitt Panther sponsorship (company name, logo, and sponsorship level included in all of our event promotional materials and programming, year-round publicity on our Festival webpage, a complimentary table at the event, and recognition throughout the event)

The PHDC Business Incubator is a community development corporation with no geographic boundaries, focusing on racial equity in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement is a nonprofit, nonpartisan Latino organization affiliated with the AFL-CIO and the Change to Win federation. It was founded in 1972 to provide Latino trade union members in the United States with a more effective voice within the AFL-CIO, to encourage Latino participation in the democratic process, and to encourage the organization of Latino workers into labor unions.
