B.A., University of Pittsburgh, Spanish, Certificate in Latin American Studies A native of Medellín, Colombia, Luz Amanda started with an interest in business but along the way found a passion for literature and Latin America Studies.

At CLAS, Luz Amanda manages with the Center’s K-16 program, CLAS alumni community, special projects and partnerships with organizations at the University level and throughout the region. Some of the special projects include the Center’s new model for business delegations that visit the United States from Latin America. Additionally, she manages the Center’s undergraduate internship program initiative, grants competitions and coordinates the Latin American Social and Public Policy Conference every year.

She also devotes part of her time to volunteerism for the Latinx and Multiple Sclerosis organizations in the region.
