Mais Informações

Film Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will be hosting a screening of Perpetuo Films', "Patrol", on August 1st at 7:30 PM at the Harris Theater. The screening will be followed by a crew and cast Q&A, featuring Co-Director and investigative journalist Camilo de Castro Belli and other members of the team. Patrol documents the fight of indigenous and Afro-descendent forest rangers in Nicaragua to protect their ancestral lands from illegal cattle ranchers, who are decimating protected rainforests and attacking indigenous peoples. The government is failing to uphold its laws, allowing the violations to take place with full impunity. The ranchers' “conflict beef” is finding its way to the dinner tables of unsuspecting Americans, labeled Product of the USA.
