CLAS@Pitt: Day of Giving 2.22.22

CENTER FOR LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES

The Center has been busy tracing a path for innovation and excellence in Latin American and Caribbean studies, building on the legacy and work CLAS has been known for since 1964. In 2022, CLAS will accomplish significant milestones with the 50th Seminar and Field Trip Program, the 40th Annual Latin American and Caribbean Festival, the 25th Latin American Social and Public Policy Conference, and the 10th anniversary of Panoramas. Additionally, this year CLAS expects to launch new credential and study programs in response to perceived interest and strategic priorities. Each program further strengthens student, faculty, and community-directed research, while diversifying our certificate offerings.

Come Fall 2022, CLAS will offer a revamped Pittsburgh-area school visit program, modeled on the success of what we have implemented over decades. Collaborations with the Latinx community, Minority Serving Institutions, and Community Colleges will leverage the Center’s strengths to support internationalization, Latin American area, and language studies and scholarship further, while also solidifying bonds with partner institutions throughout Latin America.

We are thrilled about what is ahead and hope you will join us in this journey. Thanks to your support CLAS has been able to accomplish all these major milestones. To watch the video click  "HERE".

Thank you for considering CLAS on Pitt Day of Giving 2022.
