Join us for the Latinx Connect Conference at the University of Pittsburgh on April 3rd-5th. The conference is hybrid and free to attend and will have scholars and participants from all over the globe. Register: pi.tt/lxc25 for the hybrid and *in-person events!

  • Keynote speakers Yosimar Reyes, a nationally acclaimed poet and activist, and Sheila Vélez Martinez, an esteemed scholar and advocate, will headline the event.
  • April 3rd, 5-6:30 PM, 118 Mervis Hall: Opening Reception featuring El Chucho, a local Guatemalan food truck
  • April 3rd, 7-9 PM, 104 Mervis Hall: special screening of “Las Amazonas de Yaxunah followed by a live Q&A with the director Alfonso Algara (ESPN)
  • April 4th, 7:30-9:30 PM, Kelly Strayhorn Theater: La Voz Que Soy, an electrifying performance by soprano Zuly Inirio Complimentary tickets are available for Zuly Inirio's performance. Reserve your spot via cesr@pitt.edu.
  • April 5th, 10-11:30 AM, location TBD: Breakfast with The New York Times photojournalist Federico Rios. Register to reserve your spot!
  • April 5th, 4-9 PM, Posvar Hall Galleria: Latin American and Caribbean Festival
