LAPIS invites all section members to submit applications for sponsored panels.
To apply, you must complete this form (
Panels LAPIS 2026). The section will sponsor two panels on topics related to political institutions (broadly understood).
To apply, all the panel participants have to be section members.
If you are not a LASA member and you don't want to register before you know if your panel was selected, you can register as "Friend of LASA" (a complementary affiliation that allows you to become a section member ($12) without having to pay LASA's membership or conference registration). The participants of the selected panels will will have to pay/update LASA's membership by September 9, 2025.
Although we cannot offer any funding for sponsored panels, if selected you will be guaranteed acceptance to the conference. Sponsored panels are also more likely to get better schedules and more advertising.
The deadline for applications is Friday, August 8. Applicants will be notified of decisions by mid-August.
