JMEUCE Lecture:Citizenship in Hard Times: How Ordinary Citizens Respond to Democratic Threat Sara Wallace Goodman is an Associate Professor at the University of California, Irvine Department of Political Science. Her research focuses on democracy, citizenship, and political identity. This talk is built from her new book, Citizenship in Hard Times: How Ordinary People Respond to Democratic Threat (Cambridge University Press), which examines a the civic and politics in the UK, US, and Germany. Goodman's research has been cited and featured in several popular publications including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Vox.
