Every citizen of Norway has the right to a wide variety of benefits such as paid vacation and sick leave, universal healthcare, and free higher education. But does Norway, with its wage controls, high taxes, and interventionist state, provide its citizens with less individual liberty than most Americans experience in the U.S.?
This lecture will offer a comparison of the welfare states of Scandinavia and the U.S., conceptions of Left and Right and Liberty, and the embrace of the Nordic path to individual liberty.
