ECO-U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Associates are college and graduate students with an interest in conservation and potentially a conservation career in federal, state or local government, nonprofit organizations, or for-profit companies. These ECO Associates are primarily diverse freshmen and sophomores who are pursuing related degrees. While all students with an interest may apply, the Conservation Careers Diversity Internship Program focuses primarily on providing internship opportunities to groups historically underrepresented in the field of conservation, specifically African, Asian, Hispanic and Native Americans.  Therefore, students of color are strongly encouraged to apply.
