Event Co-Sponsorship Guidelines
The Global Studies Center welcomes opportunities to co-sponsor campus events that align with our mission and our research priorities. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and we encourage applications early in the academic year. Our limited budget permits us to match funds, typically up to $500, for interdisciplinary events that complement and amplify our existing programming. (Units or individuals with ideas for larger-scale collaborations should contact the Director.) Requests for support should briefly explain the event’s intellectual connection to GSC’s mission and priorities, its anticipated audience and impact, and the proposed schedule. All requests should be sent to Veronica Dristas, the Center’s Associate Director, at dristas@pitt.edu. We will respond to all requests within one week of receipt. Applicants are responsible for organizing travel, publicity, and reimbursements for the speaker.
