Join us for an African fashion show to kick off our Celebrate Africa Festival!

The Celebrate Africa Festival brings students, faculty, and staff together with the vibrant African diaspora community in Pittsburgh. There is food, song & dance, artisans, children's activities, and more! It is a wonderful opportunity to engage with the diversity of Africa and the Pittsburgh community, as well as network with local African organizations and businesses.

Join us as we revisit the top Eurovision contestants of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest. We will review the top 10 songs/videos from across Europe, and you will have the chance to cast your vote. Our MC for this event will be hosted by Miss Georgia Bea Cummings, 2024 Gay East Coast Beauty Icon. Please come and celebrate! Light refreshments will be provided.

The University Center for International Studies is excited to hold its first annual Qissa (story in Arabic), a celebration of heritage, culture, and personal experiences through storytelling. We invite all Pitt students to share your internationally-focused story using various creative forms and listen to others in this unique performance setting.

Take a break from studying and enjoy free drinks and snacks from around the world! Instructors and students from the Less-Commonly-Taught Languages Center (LCTL) and Pitt's many language departments will teach you how to order in Swahili, German, Modern & Ancient Greek, Quechua, Hebrew, Irish, Chinese, Persian, Turkish, Arabic, Polish, and many more of the nearly 30 languages offered at Pitt. Then, you can place your order at the Language Coffeehouse and enjoy free drinks and snacks from around the world.

El Día de las Velitas (Day of the Little Candles) is a beloved Colombian tradition celebrated on the night of December 7th. While it originally honors the Catholic feast of the Immaculate Conception, today it’s a joyful community celebration enjoyed by people of all backgrounds. Families and neighborhoods light thousands of candles and lanterns, filling the streets with beautiful light displays. It marks the start of the Holiday season, bringing people together to celebrate with music, food, and festive cheer.

Join TRIO SSS, as well as representatives from the Global Hub and the Global Experiences Office, for a night of global trivia, prizes, and learning about international opportunities available at Pitt! Hear from undergraduate students who have and are currently taking part in a range of global experiences, from scholarships to area studies certificate programs to co-majoring in international area studies and Russian, and have the chance to mingle with students and staff to support you in your own international journeys.

Join the International Student Peer Network for a professional Chinese Kun Opera group performance, storytelling, open discussion, and the opportunity to try on traditional costumes and makeup.
