An Associate Professor at the History Department at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Unirio). She co-directs the research group “Policies for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage”. She has been a Visitor Professor at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) in São Paulo and worked on different projects for Unesco and for the Brazilian Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN). She also participated on European Union funded project “European Colonial Heritage Modalities in Entangled Cities” (ECHOES). She is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at Pittsburgh University, where she will develop the project “Building cultural heritages: intellectuals, tourism and the press in the Cone Sul (1916-1938)”.
