2019 NCTA Study Tour: China

We are very excited to announce that in the summer of 2019 we will be leading a three-week study tour to China. The tour will take place June 23-July 13, 2019 and will include visits to Beijing, the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors in Xian, Shanghai, Chengdu, and a boat trip down the Yangtze River’s Three Gorges. Dr. David Kenley from Elizabethtown College will serve as the “NCTA value-added” leader to bring historical, cultural and pedagogical context to the tour.

We have worked quite hard to make the cost of this tour affordable, and we are offering a sliding scale of subsidies (up to $1500) for NCTA alumni of all experience levels to help defray the cost of the tour (for more information on subsidies, please contact Patrick Hughes at hughespw@pitt.edu). Also, until November 5 there is a 5% discount on the cost of the tour.

This study tour is currently open to NCTA alumni our region of Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Participants are permitted to invite one adult guest to join the travel group. All of the details of the tour can be found on the website of Global Exploration for Educators Organization (GEEO), who is once again helping us to organize this tour.
